These days, on Saturday evening, one of the world's biggest and famous Xmas tree was setted up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tree is standing on the water's platform at Rodrigo de Freitas Lake, and known as a floating Christmas Tree. An 85-m in height, it as tall as a 29-story building, according to the organizers.
Near, if you will watch on the top you'll see the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer ('Cristo Redentor') atop Corcovado mountain, which is illuminated with a special Xmas lights. The opening ceremony of this Xmas tree become the 3d biggest event in Brazil along with the Carnaval in Rio, and Copacabana New Year Eve. The ceremony was accompanied by a beautiful fireworks.
